Pinging sound

If you're on the blog and you notice a pinging sound, that's Helen or I trying to talk to you using the meebo chat that's on the top right hand side of the page. Don't be bashful, say hello!

Ultrasound pictures.

The Results are in!

Yesterday morning we had our first ultrasound. And Baby is perfect! As with all of our previous children, we've wanted to know what the sex of the child is before hand. This was perhaps the most modest child we've had, the total opposite of Ben, when he was in the womb. Ben had no qualms about displaying his developing boyhood. This child took some maneuvering and persistence to finally be able to see the goods.

As most of you know, we were hoping to have another girl. It'd only be fair right, 2 boys, 2 girls. When we asked the kids what they wanted, they were split 2 to 1. Josh was adamant that he wanted a little brother and no talking to him could convince him otherwise. We tried showing him that, he had a brother and a sister, and that Morgan has 2 brothers but no sisters. Eh, he didn't care. He wanted his little brother.

Ben wanted another girl for the sole reason to balance out the family. We have 3 boys (including myself) and 2 girls (including Helen). With another girl equilibrium would have been reached with a 3 to 3 tie boy versus girls. AND as an extra bonus it would have been a pattern. Boy, Boy(Ben, Josh), Girl, Girl (Morgan, Baby). He's into patterns.

Morgan also wanted a girl but for less logical reasons than Ben. When asked if she wanted a brother or a sister, she always answered with "sister". But she was the most nonchalant about the whole thing.

So, who do you think got their wish? Was it Ben, Josh or Morgan. Or us, the parents for once.

And the winner is.... (drumroll)

The next and final Sausedo will be..... (highlight the empty space below to find the results)

A boy!

While we're excited to be having another child, this kinda throws off our plans. How will we work room assignments now? And a myriad of other questions.

But now, we ask for your help. We need a name. Helen likes the name Ryan (highlight to see, hidden for those cheaters that like to read ahead but are to lazy to actually highlight the results) but I don't. So we're looking for names that begin with "R". Why the letter "R"? Cause we're weird but besides that here's the reason.

Ben's middle name begins with a "J", which happens to be the first letter in Josh's first name. Josh's middle name begins with an "M", which happens to be the first letter in Morgan's first name. Morgan's middle name begins with an "R". Hence the need to have a name that begins with an "R".

So while we're specifically looking for names that beginning with "R", we'd be happy to hear all recommendations.

We'll post the images from the ultrasound this afternoon!

Some audio!

So Helen's been giving me a hard time about the lack of posts recently. So, here's something to buy me a couple more weeks.

Some of you might remember back in April, we had songs by Ben and Josh. The intention was to have that be a fairly regular thing. Yeah, that didn't happen but it was cute so, here's a couple sound bytes for you to enjoy!

Clip #1. Animal sounds by Morgan.

She actually wanted to sing a song but her brothers were being to noisy and this was the best clip. Eventually we'll showcase Morgan's singing abilities.

For now, here's me asking Morgan to make the sounds of several animals.

Clip #2. Twinkle Twinkle by Josh.

This is by far his favorite song and only he is allowed to sing it. Don't dare try to sing along or you will be subject to his wrath!

Listen here!

Clip #3. Months of the Year by Ben.

They didn't teach me this when I was in grade school. He's learned the months of the years set to "10 little indians" or is that "10 vertically challenged Native Americans"? But to go along with the song, it's also be set to the movements of the Macarena, that wonderful song....

So imagine 20 or so 1st graders singing "10 little indians" with lyrics changed to month names while doing th Macarena.

Fun for everyone!

Clip #4. Days of the Week by Ben.

Very similar to clip #3 only to a different song. Let's see if you can guess what song it is. And there aren't any fancy moves like the Macarena.

During class, they'll skip that day in the song, much like I... N... G... O... I... N... G... O... I... N...G... O... and BINGO was his name-o

Days of the week!

For you that don't remember the original clips, here they are for your enjoyment.
